Critical Thinking. Dynamic Approach. Practical Solutions.

Alex is a dedicated advocate with experience handling contentious civil and public law matters. Alex strives to bring a common sense approach to his practice, which includes commercial litigation, fraud and misappropriation investigations, construction disputes, employment disputes, and general litigation.

Prior to joining Pelletier Litigation, Alex practiced at boutique civil litigation and criminal defence firms where he successfully represented his clients’ interests and was counsel on a number of published decisions.

Before his career in law, Alex negotiated commercial agreements and managed tenders in Alberta’s energy industry. Here, he learned how to efficiently navigate and advise on client risk, particularly regarding scope of work, supply chain, and liability issues. Alex’s industry experience enabled him to develop a business acumen that continues to inform his legal practice today.

Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Lethbridge and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Exeter in his native country of the United Kingdom. While attending law school, Alex served as Associate Editor of the Exeter Law Review and completed an internship at a firm in Geneva, Switzerland offering research support on private international law matters.

Alex regularly appears in the Alberta Court of Justice and Court of King’s Bench of Alberta on matters that span a range of businesses, industries, and legal issues.

In his spare time, Alex can be found on the squash and tennis courts, exploring the trails of Kananaskis Country, or in the kitchen embarking on his latest culinary adventure.
